The 38. Emsbuerener Music Festivals takes place from 13. October - 27. October 2013.

The Emsbürener Music Festival will feature concerts, international master courses and art expositions.

The art director is professor Eckart Hübner from Berlin, who holds a chair at the Art Academy of Berlin since 1997. He has been solo bassoonist in the symphony orchestra of the SWR since 1990. Before that he held the same function in Dortmund and in the state orchestra of Baden. Hübner is a prize-winner of several competitions, such as the ARD competition (with the Albert Schweitzer quintet). He has also been in charge of regular practices of the youth orchestra of the European Union.
The guidance of the organisation has been entrusted to Mr. Ernst Neuhäuser, who has been the director of a regional Music School from 1979 till 2012.
