The municipality of Emsbüren has a lot of cultural offers. Every autumn we have the Emsbürener Musiktage, a series of events including concerts, master courses, lectures and exhibitions.
The FOKUS operates as a cultural forum covering many different events. These cultural events are organised by the Kulturkreis.
The Musikschule in Emsbüren promotes musical education. The offer includes elementary education, instrumental instruction and playing along in an ensemble.
Emsbürener Musiktage
They have become a tradition in our municipality and their reputation stretches far abroad.

The Music Days of Emsbüren were set up by Erhard Würth, who has conducted the series of events until his passing away in 2000. Prof. Eckart Hübner took over the artistic direction of the master courses within the framework of the Music Days. He continues the new approach, started in 2001, together with the director of the Emsland school of music, Ernst Neuhäuser.
The concept of the Music Days of Emsbüren includes several activities. There are master courses during which the younger generation of musicians can prove their ability.
This year masterclasses take place for woodwind instruments (german flute, hobo, clarinet, cornet, bassoon and for all participants chamber music extra )
There are also classic concerts featuring well-known musicians, such as Stefan Askenase, who inspired his audience on the piano from 1976 till 1985. Also artists such as Wanda Wilkomirska, Werner Genuit, Ludwig Hoelscher, Karl-Heinz Lautner, Doris Konrad, Sergio Azzolini, Christian Tetzlaff and Annette Dasch made their appearance in Emsbüren. The events programme includes an opening concert with the docents of the masterclasses. Then there are also concerts by participants and traditional concerts, such as the concert given by youngsters from Losser and Emsbüren.
Another important aspects are the insertion of cultural lectures and the organisation of art exhibitions.
FOKUS Emsbüren
The culture forum FOKUS, Schulstraße 6-7, organizes alternate exhibitions.
The offer also includes theatre, concerts, children’s films, cabaret and much more.
