Living in Emsbüren
Emsbüren is a very attractive place to live in! About 7.000 people of the total population of approx. 10.000 are living in the compact central residential area. It is mainly here that house construction evolves. In the central area, with its renewed streets and squares (from which vehicles have been banned, so that shopping is a real pleasure), citizens can find not only well equipped retail shops but also a sub post office, banks, pharmacies, medical practices and supermarkets, in one word: all facilities for daily comfort.

Global urban development planning makes sure that building land is used in an optimum way and that all areas are disclosed by a network of cycle tracks and footways leading to the centre. The municipality is very receptive to new challenges such as energy saving construction and installing regenerative energy supplies.
